A wine of wonderful, pure aromatics this Gruner Veltliner exemplifies classic notes of mandarin and tangelo with an underlying trace of white pepper. The subtle toast and cedar aromatics from fermentation in 60% French oak puncheon fill out the savoury components and flesh out the mid-palate. Desiring the richness and texture that only comes with age we have cellared this wine for several years before release. The result is a complex, rich and weighty rendition of an Austrian classic.
The delicate aromas of lime blossom, jasmine and quince accompanies white peach, pear and spicy notes. Medium-dry in style, the sweetness is balanced by a juicy acidity and a fine phenolic texture.
This Grüner Veltliner has delicate aromas of orange blossom and citrus blended with hints of sweet floral honeysuckle. It has great texture with a full mouth feel. Flavours of white peach mingle well with the subtle peppery spice notes. Mineral complexity gives this wine a clean and crisp appeal. The balance of the fruit, acidity and phenolics work very well together and lead to a long, dry finish.
