La Grola is a full bodied, intense and elegant wine. Dark, ruby red in colour, it has aromas of wild berries, juniper, tobacco and coffee essence. The high plant density and resulting low yields give this wine its unique concentration.
A rich and concentrated Valpolicella with aromas of peppery tobacco and spice. Rich red fruits on the round and balanced palate combine with savoury notes through to a long, luscious finish.
The nose is bursting with fruit, followed by fresh floral notes and pepper. After prolonged ageing, the wine offers more evolved nuances of fruit preserved in alcohol and aromatic herbs. The sweetness is balanced by acidity and tannins, creating an approachable wine of great finesse. The wine is named after the founder, Giovanni Allegrini, who chose this as his preferred wine.
