Complex and intense aromas of rich dark fruit, sweet spice, dark chocolate and dried herbs lead to a palate of concentrated dark fruit flavours. Fine tannins envelope the abundance of fruit. This is a wine of great power, length and poise.
While bottle ageing in the Tanunda cellars, the wine has developed an attractive bright straw colour. Aromas of lemon curd, lime rind and honey are evident on the complex nose and are complemented by hints of lanolin and beeswax on a soft rounded mid-palate that superbly balances this lively, zesty wine.
An incredibly rich wine, dark in colour due to its concentration. Such concentration is also shown through the huge variety of flavours this delivers on the palate, from it's ripe seductive blackberries, cherries, raspberries, as well as a slight jammy tertiary approach. Blending nicely with the fruit we find toasty, coffee, toffee aromas from the oak that are well integrated with the sweetness. The finish is long and the acidity in this full-bodied wine keeps the wine alive with a soft tannic structure.
A gloriously aromatic wine with red fruit aromas complemented complex notes of mocha, coffee, vanilla and nutty oak flavours. Round and balanced, with ripe tannins and a velvety texture that leads to a long finish.

A concentrated and soft palate with black pepper and bitter chocolate flavours complemented by round and supple tannins through to a long, elegant finish. A treat with red meat dishes with rich flavours; roasted or grilled beef, lamb, pasta dishes with a rich sauce or mature cheese.
It has a ruby red colour, an intense and spicy fragrance able to evolve over time to various olfactory sensations. The taste is fresh and structured, characteristics that make it a long-lived wine.
