Salvatore d'Amico

The Salvatore d’Amico farm is one of the oldest on the island of Salina and is a small family business operating in the Municipality of Leni. Family memories allow us to reconstruct the history of the company over the course of three generations: grandfather Antonino Divola began, in the early years of the twentieth century, creating the first winery in the Valdichiesa area and on his death in 1964, the daughters Nunzia and Grace. In the approximately three and a half hectares of vineyards that are located in the Valdichiesa district, plants are grown that reach forty years of age, capable of producing pure and material clusters, from which wines faithfully corresponding to the terroir of origin are obtained. Unique selections that, considering the “heroic” viticulture that characterizes the island of Salina for the most part, represent in no uncertain terms real gifts of nature.
