Antoine Olivier was founded at the end of the 1960s, from a few vineyards left by Antoine Chevalier Moreau to his grandson, Hervé. He began extending the estate by purchasing historic, old vineyards across Santenay, some of which had not been used for a century, paying particular attention to famous white wine vineyards. The quality of these soils is now recognised in a series of brilliant wines, in particular the exceptional white Santenay, something of a rarity in what is predominantly a red wine growing area. Today, Hervé’s grandson Antoine Olivier and his sister Rachel manage the estate. They are dedicated growers and follow organic practices in the vineyard. Their philosophy is to combine modernity with respect for the Burgundian soils and their stunning collection of white Santenay wines really showcases this.
Classic red Burgundy. This is a beautifully perfumed and delicate Pinot Noir, with fine red fruit tones and a fleshy texture. Smooth, long and elegant on the finish.
A vibrant and terroir expressive white Santenay showing balanced oak and mineral purity finishing on a peppery note.
Lively aromas of citrus and exotic fruit prelude a rich, full palate with delicate minerality and a touch of complementing oak. Harmoniously balanced with a beautifully clean and citrus finish.
A full bodied and textured Pommard, showing a lovely purity of fruit, complemented by a touch of aromatic spice from oak ageing.
An opulent wine with a lively salty, mineral character and a hint of liquorice. Rich and creamy on the palate with a lingering finish.
Les Charmes shows generous aromas of cherries and raspberries, with subtle hints of violets. Smooth and complex on the palate with round tannins and a long finish.
Expressive of its cooler climate, the delicate and elegant aromas give way to a fullflavoured wine showing grapefruit and mineral flavours and finishing on a long, saline note.
