Clos Troteligotte is the result of the ideas of the ever innovative Emmanuel Rybinski, one of the young emerging stars of Cahor. The 14-hectare vineyard is located on top of an iron-rich plateau on the southern border of the Cahors appellation and mainly produces Malbec with 10% of the vines dedicated to Merlot. Since its inception in 1987, respect for the land has been a priority for this family estate and they have been passionately committed to sustainable agricultural practices. In 2014 Clos Troteligotte was certified in organic agriculture and 2015 saw the start of biodynamic viticulture. Passionate and dynamic, they are producing exceptional Cahors wines and packaged with style from their unique terroir. Pronounced with a French K “ka”, their flagship wine K-Or is a play on words for Cahors.
A modern styled Cahors with intense blackcurrant, menthol nuances and wonderful mineral notes from the clay soil. Concentrated black fruits persist on the full bodied palate, with good balance through to a textured finish.
Traditionally styled with intense dark fruits, plums and blackberries with nuances of leather follow through to a richly textured palate. Complex and structured, elderberry and blackberry are enveloped by hints of vanilla and focussed mineral notes. Beautifully balanced with a long persistent finish.
A smooth, but dense wine with powerful black plum and berry fruits which are underpinned by a mineral complexity. Concentrated and spicy, with great structure and a long, firm finish.
