Equipo Navazos is a group of friends who have united over a shared passion for the treasures of Jerez, Sanlúcar, El Puerto and Montilla. Working with local producers to identify high quality butts of sherry with finesse and complexity which they then bottle and offer in very limited amounts. As well as producing sherry, Equipo Navazos has collaborated with other winemakers including Dirk Niepoort and Sergi Colet to develop some intriguing and characterful wines from Jerez and sparkling wines from Penèdes. The white chalky soil of the Jerez area, ‘albariza,’ is ideal for the cultivation of Palamino grapes which produce the sherry for which Jerez is so well known. The Manzanilla and Sherry wines are bottled in limited series, in successive numbered editions of dated releases (the date of each saca or withdrawal has been precisely stated on the label) so that aficionados can deliberately compare different editions of the same solera if they so desire.

A white wine, from an elaboration between Equipo Navazos and Dirk Niepoort following the same rigorous criteria of the best winemakers two centuries ago. a) the palomino fino grape, b) sourced from the best vineyards, c) fermented in butt, d) making use only of wild yeast, e) aged under the veil of flor that would grow immediately after fermentation had stopped, f) without fortification. Navazos-Niepoort is a unique wine, with Sherry like aromas, limestone and chalk dust notes. A wine full of character, vibrant, fresh and mineral, showing the pure expression of chalky soil.

A wonderfully aged and concentrated wine, but still fine and very dry.

This wine has kept most of its characteristic freshness as well as its notes of aromatic herbs, baked sweet potato, and caramel show more intense than ever. It is still a delicious amontillado, extremely dry, long, serious, complex, but also perfectly drinkable.

Showing a well settled and profound profile as well as salty and cheerful vibrancy, La Bota de Manzanilla No.93 'Navazos' is an unbeatable match on the dinner table. It has been bottled after only the slightest filtration in order to preserve its genuine character and its deep golden colour with green hues as if straight from the butt.

This is a delicious wine with a lot of personality, which has produced just over six hundred units, exclusively in 1500ml bottles.

This “Viejo Cream” is a very old, yet delicate and complex wine that seduces wine connoisseurs but also appeals to the palates of those who are not (shall we say yet) used to the livewire acidity and tremendous concentration of dry sherries of similar age.

A fine Manzanilla that's powerfully aromatic. Fresh, with a salty tang, with plenty of acidity together with a very satisfying lemon twist to the finish. A natural Product with plenty of colour, weight and concentration.

A powerful if extremely elegant Palo Cortado, sourced from oxidative wines aged for an average of 30 years. Remarkable finesse and expressiveness, with very complex nose of amontillado and oloroso, plus citrus notes of orange peel.

38.87£

Bone-dry, the nose is seductive and delicate, defined by white fruit jams, and ripe stone fruits. The creamy mousse envelop the palate of apricots and ripe oranges.

Bone-dry, it has virtually no residual sugar, but still a refreshing sparkling wine. Rich, toasty and savoury, with a creamy mousse, a dry finish and lots of nutty, honey notes. With the added twist of saline from the aging under flor yeast, and the addition of Palo Cortado and Amontillado which gives it a subtle complexity.
