Planeta was born only in 1995, but in a few years it has been able to carve out a role of absolute protagonist in the world of wine, thanks to foresight and passion, work in the vineyard and the ability to communicate the poetry hidden in every bottle. The Planeta family, of very ancient Spanish origin, over the course of 17 generations, i.e. from 1525 to today, has been committed to enhancing Sicilian wine excellences, reaching the great and modern production reality that we know today, the absolute protagonist of the Renaissance. Sicilian wine. With the ambitious “Planeta Terra” project, the winery has also committed itself to an important process of environmental sustainability, aimed at defining an eco-compatible protocol to be communicated not only to the production companies, but also to the consumer. The vineyards cover a total area of ​​370 hectares, in which the vine plants are grown and cared for with the utmost respect for the environment and ecosystem, a philosophy that we find in the management of the entire company, guided with the same style that is found between the rows, thus protecting the landscape, making use of renewable energies, and recycling materials and resources. In the cellar, the fruit is always processed with a view to enhancing its peculiarities and intrinsic characteristics.
