The Nosiola grapes of Trentino Vino Santo Francesco Poli are grown in the vineyards above the Santa Massenza and Toblin lake, Sottovi in the Municipality of Padergnone (Tn). The harvest begins the first week of October and is manual in a box with selection in the vineyard. The stay in the tank lasts from 2 to 3 years, then Trentino Vino Santo DOC Francesco Poli is refined and aged in small oak barrels for another 2 or 3 years.
NOTES: this wine is part of the “Vini Estremi” and “Interpretazioni” projects. The vineyards are cultivated according to biodynamic agriculture, enriched with green manures and biodynamic preparations. We thus obtain stronger plants, with greater root development that allow us to minimize treatments based solely on natural substances. Wine made from organically grown grapes certified by ICEA.
The Francesco Poli Winery is located in Santa Massenza: the southern climate meets the continental one, the Mediterranean plants coexist with the alpine ones. It is in this small town of renowned wine-growing and distillation tradition that the Agricultural Company and the Distillery of Francesco and Alessandro Poli are located. Since 1998 the vineyards have been cultivated in organic farming, and for some years biodynamic farming techniques have been used.
