The Vigneti delle Dolomiti Blanc de Sers Casata Monfort grapes are grown in the vineyards of Serso and Viarago at an altitude of 620 meters on medium-textured, porphyritic soil with south-east exposure. The harvest begins in early September, it is manual in a box with selection in the vineyard. The cold maceration of the grapes follows the traditional white vinification with control of alcoholic fermentation and malolactic fermentation. The Vigneti delle Dolomiti IGT “Blanc de Sers” Casata Monfort ages in steel tanks for 5 months then refines in glass for 2 months.
For Casata Monfort wine each generation bears the roots of the previous one, the values transmitted, the experiences lived, the shared projects, but each person in this family has also been able to look forward to the future, the ability to dream and the desire to write a page of the history of this winery. The generational shift is a gesture accompanied, built, never forced, a choice that matures consciously. The growth of the winery is the result of teamwork, made up of dynamic and motivated people, men and women who, in the past and in the present, have shared goals, hopes and results. With these premises, we think to innovate each year by adding new pieces both in the production and marketing side. We love to add a little bit of pepper to our daily work to make it always new every day.
