The grapes to produce Pinot Grigio DOC delle Venezie Sacchetto were destemmed, pressed and immediately vinified. Fermentation of the must took place with selected yeasts, in temperature controlled stainless steel tanks, which retained the fruit flavours and freshness of the Pinot Grigio. Pinot Grigio DOC delle Venezie Sacchetto was kept in tank until bottling.
The vineyard is made up of chalky soils, which provide good drainage for the vines, as the vine roots can easily penetrate this soft soil, while at the same time retaining sufficient moisture for nourishment.
Cantina Sacchetto was founded in 1920 and today is run by Filiberto Sacchetto, his son Paolo and daughter Beatrice who oversee all aspects of the winemaking process and aim to produce the best possible examples of wines for which the Veneto region is famous.
