Toscana Rosso IGT “Foglia Tonda” 2013 – Podere Gualandiby Valentino Minotti
ORGANOLEPTIC EXAMINATION: Garnet red color. On the nose it is intense; the dominant fruity scents follow floral aromas of rose and geranium, then close spicy notes. On the palate it is a full-bodied wine with velvety tannins. Balanced and persistent.

VINEYARD OF ORIGIN: altitude 300 m s.l.m.
BREEDING: YEAR OF PLANT: 2004
YIELD PER HECTARE: 20 q / Ha
HARVEST: manual weeding, elimination of excess buds and shredding of the grass (the vines are grassed). The vineyard is completely handmade without tractors and has a density of 10,000 plants per hectare. A selection of the bunches is made in August and September. The grapes are harvested by hand using traditional bigonce
VINIFICATION: The grapes are pressed by hand and then fermented with all the stalks for about 20 days.
MATURATION: the must is then passed by a piece of fabric to filter it. Once fermented,
AGING: the wine is transferred to the barriques for around 24 months and then bottled. The barrels and barriques are continuously rolled to keep the lees moving. No machinery is used in the process, everything is strictly done by hand. Bottling is manual.
