To produce the Sicilia DOC “La Segreta Il Bianco” a static decantation of the must is carried out after the destemming and soft pressing; the wine ferments at 15⁰C in stainless steel vats, remaining there until bottling.
La Segreta takes its name from the woods which surround the vineyard at Ulmo. This young fresh wine principally produced from Grecanico grapes gains personality and style with the addition of some international variety grapes. All grapes are knowledgeably cultivated in the vineyards owned by Planeta. Altitude is between 45 and 100 metres above sea level adn the training system is the cordon spur and guyot with a density of planting of 4500/5000 vines per hectare.

The vineyards cover a total area of 370 hectares, in which the vine plants are grown and cared for with the utmost respect for the environment and ecosystem, a philosophy that we find in the management of the entire company, guided with the same style that is found between the rows, thus protecting the landscape, making use of renewable energies, and recycling materials and resources. In the cellar, the fruit is always processed with a view to enhancing its peculiarities and intrinsic characteristics.
