The grapes of Trentino Pinot Nero Casata Monfort are cultivated at an altitude of 420 meters on a medium-textured, clay soil with south-west exposure. The harvest begins in mid-October, it is manual with selection in the vineyard. The vinification is traditional in red on the skins. Trentino Pinot Nero DOC Casata Monfort ages in barrique for a year then refines in glass.
For Casata Monfort wine each generation bears the roots of the previous one, the values transmitted, the experiences lived, the shared projects, but each person in this family has also been able to look forward to the future, the ability to dream and the desire to write a page of the history of this winery. The generational shift is a gesture accompanied, built, never forced, a choice that matures consciously. The growth of the winery is the result of teamwork, made up of dynamic and motivated people, men and women who, in the past and in the present, have shared goals, hopes and results. With these premises, we think to innovate each year by adding new pieces both in the production and marketing side. We love to add a little bit of pepper to our daily work to make it always new every day.
