The Amarone della Valpolicella Case Vecie Brigaldara is grown in the municipality of Ghizzana at an altitude of 450 meters, on silty soil. The harvest is manual in boxes with selection in the vineyard and starts from the second half of October; during winemaking, the selection of the grapes undergoes a long drying in the box. The Amarone della Valpolicella Case Vecie Brigaldara is vinified in red with long contact with peels and frequent pumping over. The maturation involves 1 year in barriques, 2 years in 25Hl oak barrels and then in bottle.
Every year Brigaldara produces around 300,000 bottles from the ca. 50 hectares of vineyards. Brigaldara ’s mission has always aimed at the production of quality wines that represent its territory. This philosophy is put into practice by constantly searching for the perfect balance between growth and fruit production in each vineyard, without forcing the plants.
The cellar is structured into two different levels in order to preserve the peculiarities of our grapes. This enables us to move the wine naturally, using gravity, without exposing it to unhealthy external pressures. Great attention is paid to the fermentation phase, which is spontaneous and tries to guarantee maximum expression to the wine. Refinement is carried out by using both large and small woods, carefully selected to ensure the respect of the bouquet.
