About this wine

To produce the Corte B Bodega Vistalba the grapes were picked into 20-kilo boxes and traditional winemaking methods were used. The wine was fermented in concrete vats without an epoxy coating. Three-day cold prefermentative maceration, as well as manual punching down and pumping over. Fermentation temperature: 25 oC. In addition, microvinification in barrels. Aging was done in 35hl casks, barrels of 225lts and of 500lts of French Oak for 15 months, 30% of which were new barrels. Soils of alluvial origin, with a top layer of silty clay loam. The soil profile is then dominated by a conglomerate bed with abundant smooth pebbles, covered by a layer of calcium carbonate. Bodega Vistalba was founded in Mendoza in the year 2003 by Carlos Pulenta, the third generation of a traditional winemaking family. He built the winery in a family estate in the area of Vistalba, in the district of Luján de Cuyo, Mendoza, and poured all of his experience and passion for winemaking into the realization of a family project. He combined the long-standing tradition of the Pulenta family, their historical vineyards, and the implementation of modern winemaking techniques to make elegant wines that would stand at the level of the greatest in the world. Paula Pulenta, the fourth generation in the family, nowadays leads the winery. Together with a team of professionals, they hold a firm position in the domestic and international markets. They export their wines to countries in every continent.
