The grapes to produce Sauvignon Blanc Vellas were fermented in temperature controlled stainless steel tanks, to preserve the fresh style and fruity aromatics.
The grapes were carefully sourced from selected growers in the Valle Central, which encompasses the subregions of the Maipo Valley, Rapel Valley, Curico Valley and the Maule Valley. The Central Valley is a 1,000 kilometre plateau which sits between the Andes Mountains and the cool Pacific Ocean. The climate, with its warm sunny days, cooler evenings and intense sunlight encourages a long growing season, which is ideally suited to producing healthy grapes with concentrated fruit flavours. The soils are fertile and the vineyards benefit from a natural irrigation from the melted snow from the Andes.
Vellas wines source from the rich Central Valley vineyards and exhibiting all of the maximum-freshness fruit for which Chile is famous; Vellas wines certainly punch above their weight and lend argument to the view that Chile is the world’s most exciting wine region at the moment. Bold wines with bold labels – if you’ve got it, flaunt it!
