About this wine
The two varieties of Tempranillo Cabernet Sauvignon “El Tidon” Casa del Valle were vinified separately in order to retain the varietal characteristics.Traditional vinification took place and Tempranillo Cabernet Sauvignon “El Tidon” Casa del Valle was matured in barrels to achieve greater complexity.The vines are grown in the Caliza Franco Arenosa soils of Castilla de la Mancha located around the village of Yepes, in the province of Toledo. In the vineyard there is a high proportion of calcareous soil and the vines are trained using the Double Cordon Royat system and the pruning is carried out by hand.
Located in Yepes to the north of Toledo, Casa del Valle winery was established in 2000 with the aim of producing wines which reflect the personality of the local terroir and microclimate through their unique character. The Casa del Valle 100 hectares of vineyard are planted with Tempranillo, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Syrah, all chosen for their suitability for ageing and their well-defined character.
