Gris Blanc 2022 – Gérard Bertrand

To produce Gris Blanc Gérard Bertrand a manual harvest was followed immediately by gentle pressing of the grapes. The must was transferred under a protective carbonic gas atmosphere, prior to fermentation. Fermentation then took place at low temperatures of between 15° to 18°C, in stainless steel vats. Gris Blanc Gérard Bertrand  was matured on the fine lees for several weeks adding complexity and texture to the final wine.The vines are ideally located in Tautavel area, between Mediterranean Sea and Pyrenees Mountains, 30 kilometres north of Perpignan in the South of France area. The dry and sunny terroir enables Grenache, the emblematic grape variety of the Mediterranean, to express its best aromas. The soils in the vineyard have predominantly clay- limestone content.
