The Vigneti delle Dolomiti Rosso Reboro Francesco Poli was born from a project shared by the winemakers of the Valle dei Laghi in Trentino. It is produced with the Rebo vine created in the 50s by the researcher Rebo Rigotti, crossing the Teroldego flower with that of the Merlot. The vineyard is cultivated in organic farming certified by ICEA using biodynamic preparations and sowing green manure. The grapes of the Vigneti delle Dolomiti Rosso IGT “Reboro” Francesco Poli are harvested at full maturity towards the first half of October and dried using the typical breeze called “ORA DEL GARDA”; followed by a long stay on the skins and a subsequent long passage in oak barrels.
“For over ten years our vineyards have been cultivated and certified in organic farming, then we decided to expand our research by processing them and carrying out multi-species sowing with the aim of developing the roots of our vines in depth. to give greater fertility to the soil, reducing and sometimes eliminating what was previously essential, drip irrigation. In the cellar spontaneous fermentation and minimal use of sulfur to create wines that represent the soul of our territory. ” - Alessandro Poli.
The Francesco Poli Winery is located in Santa Massenza: the southern climate meets the continental one, the Mediterranean plants coexist with the alpine ones. It is in this small town of renowned wine-growing and distillation tradition that the Agricultural Company and the Distillery of Francesco and Alessandro Poli are located. Since 1998 the vineyards have been cultivated in organic farming, and for some years biodynamic farming techniques have been used.
