Sicilia DOC Nero d’Avola “Kuntari” 2015 - Terre di Giurfo

The Nero d’Avola Kuntari Terre di Giurfo is made of 100% Nero d’Avola grapes from vineyards located in the municipality of Licodia Eubea (Ct) at an altitude of 500 meters above the sea level. The vineyards to produce the Nero d’Avola Kuntari Terre di Giurfo have a medium mixture soil, calcareous tendency. The fermentation takes place in 150 hl stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature of 15-18 ° C, mature in oak for about 12 months and age in glass.

Giurfo is ancient land. Immersed in an evocative scenery, one of the most surprising in south-eastern Sicily, along with the River Dirillo valley on the border between the municipalities of Licodia Eubea and the provicia Iblea, it extends over a vast area rich in history and traditions. Thanks to the generous climate of the heterogeneous composition of the soil and to the particular sun exposure, vineyards and olive groves are expertly cultivated that are able to give products rich in aromas and aromas typical of the area.
