The nose is clean and elegant. The hints of yeast are well defined and frank, with floral notes in the background. In the mouth we find the same sensations, with a good attack and a well-calibrated acidity. Good ending and good persistence.
The Pinot Nero grapes of Franciacorta Extra Brut Blanc de Noir DOCG La Valle are grown in the Roccolo vineyard at an altitude of 210 meters with southern exposure. The harvest is manual and the vinification in steel. The Franciacorta Extra Brut Blanc de Noir DOCG La Valle ripens in the bottle and is aged in bottle for 30 months.
The La Valle Company, belonging to the Pezzola family, is located in Rodengo Saiano, in the heart of Franciacorta, in a beautiful hilly area, particularly suited for viticulture, close to the famous Olivetana Abbey of the XI century and a few km away from the Lake Iseo and from Brescia, in Lombardy. It owes its name to the main land of the company, called La Valle, bought by its ancestors back in 1890, as evidenced by a notarial deed of that time and always cultivated with vines.
In 1990 Eugenio and Giulia Pezzola created the La Valle Company, for the exclusive production of the prestigious Franciacorta sparkling wines, and dedicated it to their father Giovanni and his uncle Innocenzo, particularly linked to these places. The company’s historic vineyards, lovingly cultivated, including La Valle, “Roccolo”, “Bredina”, “Tesa”, enjoy an extraordinary and unique exposure and microclimate and donate special grapes from the noble vines: Chardonnay, Pinot Bianco and Pinot Nero; grapes rich in aromas, aromas and flavors.
In 1993 the first 3,000 bottles of Millesimato come out, some of which are still jealously guarded. In the following years, the collaboration of the children, the love for the land, for its grapes, and the advice of prestigious winemakers, including Jeanne Pierre Valade, have made La Valle a well-known and consolidated brand of quality Franciacorta and niche. Original are the Latin names given to wines, such as “Primum”, “Naturalis”, “Regium”, “Zerum”, almost as if to recall distant times, in which wine was the protagonist of real parties.
To the historical, old and suggestive wine cellar, inside the characteristic family farmhouse of the ‘400, place of silence, peace and tranquility, where the precious Millesimati wines and the exclusive Reserves rest and mature, and now also intended for reception, visits guided tours, tastings and events in the world of wine, La Valle adds in 2010 a new winery, a model of innovation and technology, mainly dedicated to production and winemaking. Poetry and technique merge into two deeply different environments, in which past and future meet, almost showing each other, their own undisputed and absolute fascination to create a work of art. La Valle, a world to discover, that envelops and enchants, giving unique and unforgettable sensations.
