Complex aromas of green apple, hay and herbaceous notes are underpinned by remarkable minerality. Textured and full flavoured with a wonderful fluency and a rich energy on the finish.
Golden in appearance. Initially, the nose shows subtle toasted and smoked notes with a touch of liquorice and earthy tones. When swirled in the glass, fruity notes of apricot, blackthorn, quince, blueberry and fresh almonds add an extra dimension to the wine. The palate is mineral and taut with excellent freshness, with notes of quince, vanilla and vineyard peaches on the mid-palate, followed by a crisp finish. A lovely vintage which will continue to develop great complexity and generosity over time.
Charles Heidsieck Blanc de Blancs is a pale, crystalline gold colour. The nose is characterised by aromas of mature Chardonnay; white peach, candied citrus with notes of lime, honeysuckle and fresh hazelnuts giving way to subtle hints of tangerine and lemon. On the palate, the Blanc de Blancs bears all the hallmarks of a Charles Heidsieck Champagne: boldness, generosity and elegance. Embracing yet light, it displays appealing mineral, slightly salty, iodine notes, and has a silky, creamy texture – unexpected from a Chardonnay – that leaves a lasting impression.
This Pinot Noir has notes of red and dark currant and sweet forest strawberries, brought forward by a quite powerful minerality, with hints of violets and peony rose. On the palate, this wine is rich, deep and balanced.
A sexy, luscious Cabernet Franc that is the definition of elegance. Harmoniously integrated flavours of blackberry, black cherry and plum mingle with tobacco, cinnamon and spice. Tannins are soft and gentle on the palate, and hints of dark choclate and minerality on the long finish. A wine gently crafted with great love, and to be enjoyed the same way.
Intense violet red. On the nose it is aromatic, with spicy and violet aromas. It shows notes of black tea, red and black fruits with earthy touches. In the mouth it is balanced, elegant, fine-grained tannins and marked minerality.
Amber yellow in color, the nose is full and enveloping, with hints ranging from ripe yellow pulp fruit, slightly candied, to jam, orange blossom and orange blossom. In the mouth it enters warm, with an enveloping, pleasant sweetness, good acidity and a hint of salinity to give it typicality. Return of the olfactory sensations perceived in the nose. Very persistent.
Salcheto's Salco is brick red colour and shows delicious dried and ripe dark cherries on the nose, with a touch of prune and a ripe, sweet core. There is definite complexity with savoury aromas of earth, cedar, spices and a warming meatiness and leather. The palate mirrors this but shows great balances with the fruit, and the prunes and warm earth are particularly prominent. The ripe tannins provide great structure, but are softly textured and are in perfect balance with the bright acidity. The finish is lovely and long and leaves you gasping for another sip...
A deep, rich red colour, this Cannonau shows lashings of mature red fruits combined with delicate hints of spice on the nose. The dry and pleasantly flavoured palate is elegant, yet full bodied in style.
Herbaceous and fragrant on the nose showing delicate citrus aromatics. This is a fullbodied Sauvignon Blanc, which is pleasantly lively through to a crisp, dry finish.
Intense and sunny wine that conveys the fruity aromas of muscat grapes. Pleasant sweet sensations of almonds, dried figs and honey (typical of Zibibbo withered in the sun) are balanced with pleasant notes of freshness.
